Good Morning, Good Afternoon and just in case you dont like this score... Goodbye! ;)
by
Godwin Borg (October 7, 2005)
Despite his younger age Nicola Piovani belongs to the classic tradition of Italian soundtrack composers. His compositions are beautifully arranged, warm and very rich in emotion. Goodmorning Babilonia has a very strong classic Italian feel to it, with tunes very reminiscing of Southern Italy, just close your eyes and the music will transport you to a wide, sunny plain, warm and cozy yet there is a strong nostalgic feeling to the music. Rossini's La Gazza Ladra theme fits perfectly in betwen Piovani's cues and provides a tieng element within the score itself. Definitely one of my personal favourite PIOVANI scores to date. Check this one out , it's really worth the while and the effort.
