Western mood music from a mood music maestro!
by
Victor Valentine (November 9, 2006)

Bonanza, the original television western soap opera scored by mood music maestro David Rose may not appeal to those interested in "contemporary" film music for it comes from another place and time. Another world when people could breath and think in a more defined way void of the poisonous effect of too much trash piled along the sidewalks of their increasingly warped, frustrated minds.

David Rose, who spent Saturdays grocery shopping with Mancini and Rugolo. The guy who built a miniature rail road around his Los Angeles home back in the days before L.A. went completely insane offers with this recording of a minds extension versions of themes heard throughout the run of this beautifully cornball American television series. *****
