Beethoven Gets The Morricone Treatment
by a soundtrack collector
(January 27, 2004)
Hell, I wish there would be more reviews on this otherwise great site! (And what about a TOP SECRET! track list?)
THE HUMANOID is a score I would love to add to my collection for the Main Title alone. Here Morricone reinterpretes Beethoven's 9th in a way that can only be described as crazy. A rythm section adds 70's flavour to the piece that ultimately builds to a crashing, overwhelming and brutal-sounding march that blows away everything in it's way. One of the truly great moments.
