It's been quite a while since I've seen "The NeverEnding Story", but I do belive the other reviewer in that the music presented on the CD is different than it is heard in the film. The CD score sounds largly synthesized and electronic, and unfortunately comes off as rather dated. The themes--such as "Bastian's Happy Flight"--are still distinct, they just sound...odd.
This score is not perfect and rather short on running time, but it's an okay listen, if nothing more than to bring back memories of the movie itself.

This is probably one of my favourite scores, but the cd does not contain the same version of the music in the film. All the Moroder's tracks are different from the movie version, and also the mai song theme performed by Limalh is different from the one playing in the movie.

Great soundtrack but not original version....
