Grand and impressive!

Wow. David Arnold has delivered one hell of a score with "Independence Day". The themes all sound very patriotic and American (You'd think this would be annoying but it serves the film so well), and quite frankly the orchestrations are epic and huge in scale. There are a few cues on the disc that I found to be quite beautiful and sad, while others are so incredibly over the top that one just can't help but like it. A grand, sweeping, and memorable score. A must for any collection if you ask me.
