Beautiful music from a heartwrenching movie
The movie is excellant and the music just goes so well with the movie. olivia does a good song too at the end. recommended
Mainly instrumental, leaves out Milla Jovovich's great song
One of the higlight's of this film was hearing the underrated Milla Jovovich sing "It's Your Life," which originally appeared on her first debut album. The song fits beautifully with the film, but is omitted here. I like Olivia's song, but it holds no candle to Milla.
Amazing complement to the film!
If you've seen It's My Party, you'll remember the piano music in heartwrenching moments of the film. The music is solemn, tender, and haunting. Olivia Newton-John's "Don't Cut Me Down" is a soft, pleading song that captures the essence of the film and the hardships of living in an age of AIDS. With music that is both somber and, at times, uplifting, the piano, in its solitude on many of the songs, lets you feel comfortably alone, yet exhilaratingly meditative.
