"Holy Grail" Film Score Release

Hello,

With all the new film scores released in the past few years is there anyone still waiting for their "Holy Grail" film score to be released?

Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

Just off the top of my head, I want:
Batman & Robin
Attack of the Clones (Complete)
Revenge of the Sith (Complete)

All four titles that I once had on my 1999 holy grail list have been released in the course of the past decade. Of course I still have much wanted scores which remain unreleased, but very few of them are completely unreleased so far and not just unexpanded. There are lots of titles I would like to see expanded, but to me those do not match my idea of how a holy grail is defined.

@Soundtracksforever - You're kidding, right?

Try searching the site and online retailers...because most of those titles HAVE been released at some point either on LP and certainly reissued in later years on CD. Some like PSYCHO have actually been recorded/released multiple times. There's even an unofficial release taken from the isolated music tracks of the old laserdisc, and is the ONLY release ever done of the actual music tracks as they were used in the movie...all other releases (including one by the composer himself) are re-recordings.

The term "Holy Grail" generally refers either to something that has NEVER been released in any format, or has been released years ago on LP but has been out of print for years and has never been reissued in any format.

PLENTY of personal Holy Grails not released yet. I could probably come up with 50, since I'm also counting TV shows. Some examples:

"Duel" (Billy Goldenberg)
"Gadiator" (rejected 1992 boxing film score; Jerry Goldsmith)
"Zachariah" (Jimme Haskell -- a new personal favorite; only a short LP was released)
"When Eight Bells Toll" (Angela Morley)
"Coming to America" (Nile Rogers)
"Peyton Place" (complete, original tracks; Franz Waxman)

TV stuff:
"Dynasty" (various composers)

"Gunsmoke (various composers)

"Samuaria Jack" (James L. Venable & Paul Dinletir)
"CHiPs" (Season 1; various composers)

"Magnum, pi" (various composers, though mostly Mike Post & Pete Carpenter)

I coule name two or three dozen more TV shows and movies.

Now that Paramount have opened their vaults perhaps we may look forward to
Shane (just released)
Ditto Strategic Air Command
But what about Gunfight at the OK Corral
And a definitive release of The Ten Commandments ( there are some bootlegs out there-so
there must be some masters available)
And what about Elmer Bernstein's The Sons of Katie Elder and Where's Jack
And Manos Hadjidakis Blue
