Coriolanus - error on this sites front page?

Hi I am into Ancient Rome type movies so after reading the write up for the movie 'Coriolanus' on the front page of this site I was naturaly intrested to see what its all about. I watched the trailer on you tube ...

This movie has nothing to do with ancient Rome. Has someone made an error and put the wrong write up on here for this film? ......

The movie is about, and takes place in, ROME...it does not specify ANCIENT Rome. Rome IS a city that exists today, you know...the movie takes place in modern-day Rome. I didn't see the word "ancient" used anywhere on the homepage here, or on IMDB.

The original Shakespeare play DID take place in ancient Rome, but this movie is a modern-day adaption of the play.

Calm down dear chap ... I was, after all only asking a question. You Germans really don't know how to take things do you .... talk about 'sauerkraut' ............

The wording of the description of the movie would make you think that this was a movie about ancient Rome. It uses words like consul and descriptions such as 'feared and revered roman general' and as you say the previous play was about ancient Rome. Hence why I assumed a movie about ancient rome.

You have now clarified what the deal is here and I thank you for it. Thankyou for also pointing out that Rome still exists, although as I have infact been there several times including twice this last year I was actually aware of this already ........

I am and WAS perfectly calm when I posted my reply. There's also no reason for you to be insulting...I am indeed of German descent, but I am American born and live in the U.S. If you were attempting humor, you failed and only succeeded in being insulting.

Regardless of what words or phrases were used in the homepage description, that doesn't necessarily mean it was an Ancient Rome setting.

My grandparents were Italian immigrants so I guess that gives me some minor connection to ancient Rome. I also like those old Steve Reeves movies.
