Body Heat... FINALLY!

Have you heard? I must say this is such a major soundtrack release and all thanks to FSM. I always hoped we would one day get this sexually enticing Barry score but I never expected a double disc sex steamer. This is definitely ordered along with Barry's Quiller Memorandum recently released by Intrada. A good year for Barry so far. Perhaps Varese will release Jagged Edge through their encore series soon? Crossing my fingers.

What's so exciting about re-releases, Seri? *headscratch*

Hi David...

Well, besides the Varese rerecording, I never got the chance to buy any of the Southern Cross releases when they were available and trying to get them afterwards became discouraging because they were very expensive. So... this is good news for me who never owned the original Body Heat score and I guess for everyone else in the same boat especially for the people who are fans of John Barry.

But, am I correct to assume that this FSM release of Body Heat is not simply an ordinary re-release? Besides the original complete score, and all the nice extras, does it not include the original version of Barry's unreleased LP soundtrack album? That in itself is wonderful news. This was never available before.

I had a feeling that Body Heat might be one of these last FSM releases but I never expected such an extensive release. This is such a good score. I'm glad I didn't give in to the crazy prices for the Australian releases.
