Les Notes De L'Écran
22-Apr-2006 - Cinéfonia Records in France has started to release a superb series of French TV music. The first one is devoted to early works that French Maestro Georges Delerue wrote for the little screen. On this CD four of his older scores, Jacquou Le Croquant (1969), Le Chandelier (1977), Les Chevaux Du Soleil (1979) and Le Jeune Homme Vert (1979).
Another famous French composer of film music is Vladimir Cosma, represented here with 2 CD's. On the first one Volume 2, the never before released on CD scores for L'Homme De Suez (1984), and La Chambre Des Dames (1983).
And on Volume 3 we find two other scores from Vladimir Cosma and also written for TV, Sam Et Sally (1978) for the first time on CD, and Les Grandes Familles (1989). All music is beautifully remastered and sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Three must-haves for all soundtrack collectors..!
