Patrick Doyle's Sleuth
28-Oct-2007 - From Varèse Sarabande comes the score for Sleuth,  the story of a millionaire detective novelist (Michael Caine), who matches wits with the unemployed actor (Jude Law) who ran off with his wife in a deadly serious, seriously twisted game with dangerous consequences. The Anthony Shaffer play originally brought to the screen in 1972 gets the remake treatment in this updating that finds Caine stepping into the role of the brilliant thriller writer portrayed by Laurence Olivier in the original, and Law following in Caine's footsteps as the young hairdresser who steals the literary giants wife, only to find himself subsequently swallowed up in an elaborate revenge scheme. For his latest film, Kenneth Branagh reunited with his longtime composer Patrick Doyle, who contributed another classic to their shared filmography.
The score is available from Amazon.com.
