Bruno Maderna's La Morte Ha Fatto L'Uovo
11-Nov-2007 - Previously only available on LP by Cinevox in 1968, Fin de Siècle Media has announced the CD premiere release of La Morte Ha Fatto L'Uovo, the challenging avant-garde soundtrack by Bruno Maderna who only scored a handful of films in the 50s and 60s. However, this one has the ability to haunt you forever. Presented in a 6-page digipak with original artwork, film still and liner notes by John Bender, the disc itself offers the original LP in full stereo as well as 10 previously unheard bonus tracks in mono - all in all 54 minutes of very uneasy listening carefully restored by Claudio Fuiano. Overall the music on this disc can be eerily, and vividly, epitomized by a line of dialog from the film: “Take them by surprise with an approach that’s absolutely new – that’s newer than tomorrow – preposterously new!”
