Cristiano Fracaro/Dario Arcidiacono's Riparo
11-Feb-2008 - CAM Original Soundtracks has released Riparo. Veteran Italian director Marco Simon Puccioni brings a straightforward, continental touch to this well-behaved drama, which screened at the 2007 Berlin Film Festival. Puccioni lets his actors do the work as they try to carve out a niche between the various polarities of their characters’ identities — native versus foreign, straight versus gay, rich versus poor. The story's protagonists are three people: Anna, a wealthy middle-class 35-year old woman who owns, together with her mother and her brother, a factory in the northeast of Italy; she has a love affair with 25-year-old Mara, who works in the factory; then there's Anis, a young man from Maghreb who suddenly storms into their lives. The music is by Cristiano Fracaro and Dario Arcidiacono.
