It's the story of a single woman (Katherine Heigl, Knocked Up) who has served as a bridesmaid a stunning twenty-seven times, and who prepares to support her sister (Malin Akerman, The Heartbreak Kid) at the alter on number twenty-eight despite having fallen helplessly in love with her smitten sibling’s handsome husband-to-be (Edward Burns). 27 Dresses is a new romantic comedy scripted by The Devil Wears Prada screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna and directed by Anna Fletcher (Step Up). The tuneful and engaging score is by Randy Edelman, composer of While You Were Sleeping, The Whole Nine Yards and Shanghai Noon.
