The March releases from Digitmovies
27-Mar-2008 - Digitmovies continues the anthology series dedicated to the original motion picture soundtracks from the movies of Mario Bava, the Maestro of Italian Horror and Noir. This time they have released, as the seventh volume of the series, the complete score composed by Sante Maria Romitelli for the 1969 movie Il Rosso Segno Della Follia (aka “Hatchet for the honeymoon”) directed by Mario Bava. On this CD 10 previously unreleased tracks.
Also new from Digitmovies the eighth volume of the Italian Peplum series: the complete original score by Carlo Rustichelli for the movie I Giganti Della Tessaglia ((aka Le géant de Thésalie, Os gigantes de Tessália, Los gigantes de la Tessaglia, Das schwert des roten Giganten, The giants of Thessaly) directed by Riccardo Freda in 1960. Thanks to the support of the friendly people at CAM Original Soundtracks, in whose archives the complete mono master tapes have been preserved, this wonderful music can now be heard for the first time on CD.
La Liceale, with a nice score composed and conducted by Vittorio Pezzolla, and with the solo voice by Nora Orlandi and La Liceale Nella Classe Dei Ripetenti, with music composed and conducted by Gianni Ferrio, are two Italian comedies from the second half of the 70’s, starring the blonde actress Gloria Guida. “La liceale” was directed in 1976 by Michele Massimo Tarantini, specialist of erotic school comedies of the second half of the 70’s. The film tells the story of Loredana (Guida), a beautiful schoolgirl wooed by both her fellow students and teachers.
