New from Digitmovies
14-Nov-2008 - Digitmovies has released their sixth volume devoted to the Italian police movies genre. Never released before is this complete and full stereo score by Stelvio Cipriani from the movie Poliziotto Senza Paura (aka Magnum cop), directed in 1977 by Stelvio Massi. The movie tells the story of detective Spada, Roman private eye entrusted by his Vienna colleague Karl Koper to find the young Annelise Von Stradel, daughter of a rich Austrian banker, who in Rome joins a Buddhistic community. With his unique style, Stelvio Cipriani accompanies the adventures of the fearless cop with alternative action themes and romantic motifs. As bonus tracks Digitmovies has released for the first time the complete score in mono by Stelvio Cipriani from the movie Sbirro, La Tua Legge è Lenta… La Mia No! (aka Hunted City, La citè du crime), directed in 1979 by Stelvio Massi.
From Digitmovies also for the first time on CD the complete score by Alessandro Cicognini for the movie Il Compagno Don Camillo (aka Don Camillo En Russie, Don Camillo in Moscow), directed in 1965 by Luigi Comencini. The score is based on the pastoral Don Camillo theme, a simple and lovely motif that reoccurs, with variations, in all the five Don Camillo movies, introduced by bells tolls and performed by French horns. This CD is again a treasure of the Italian Golden and Silver Ages of Film Music.
