Ennio Morricone Concert in London
13-Jan-2001 - Ennio Morricone will be conducting a concert of his film music at the Barbican in London on Saturday 10 March 2001 at 7:45pm in the evening only and on Sunday 11 March 2001 in the afternoon only at 3pm.

Morricone will not be using the resident LSO orchestra at the Barbican, instead he is bringing the Rome Orchestra and Chorus with him.

Morricone will be premiering two new pieces, one called "Fragment of Eros", then after the interval will be doing his normal film music concert eg Quiemada; Battle of Algiers; The Good,The Bad and The Ugly...etc(probably slighlty abbreviated), though Dulce Pontes is going to be there, plus two italian vocalists (though sadly not Angelo Branduardi).

The concert is not yet listed on the Barbican website at www.barbican.org.uk however you can book by credit card now at the Barbican box office on telephone number 020 7638 8891 (from USA, tel: 011 44 207 638 8891) or (from rest of europe, tel: 00 44 207 638 8891).Top ticket price is £40 for stalls. The box office is open from 9am to 8pm GMT.
