Guy Farley's Book Of Blood
18-Oct-2009 - La-La Land Records has released the original score to the all-new horror feature Clive Barker's Book Of Blood, written and directed by John Harrison. The story centers on a paranormal expert who, while investigating a gruesome slaying, finds a house that is at the intersection of "highways" transporting souls to the afterlife. The expert, Mary Florescu, has employs medium Simon McNeal to investigate a haunted house. McNeal, at first, begins to fake his visions, but then real ghosts present themselves. They attack him and carve words in his flesh, and these words, claims the narrator, form the rest of the stories, stories written on a literal, living Book of Blood. Composer Guy Farley crafts a mesmerizing, haunting orchestral score to compliment this atmospheric telling of renowned author Clive Barker’s chilling supernatural tale. The CD booklet features liner notes from the composer and director/writer. This is a limited edition of 1500 copies.
