8-Aug-2011 - Silva Screen Records has released Film Music Of Hans Zimmer Vol. 2. Scoring for over 100 films Hans Zimmer is one of the film world’s most prolific A-list contemporary composers. Amongst the first film score composers to integrate the electronic musical world with traditional orchestral arrangements, Zimmer’s name is today synonymous with the Hollywood blockbuster and indeed the Top Ten highest grossing movies of all time bear Zimmer’s touch. This double album, performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, features a variety of Zimmer’s classic scores with the addition of his more recent successes, “Mutiny” (Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Strangers Tides), “Discombobulate” (Sherlock Holmes), “Aggressive Expansion” (The Dark Knight), as well as classic tracks from box office hits such as “This Land” (The Lion King), “Red Sea” (The Prince Of Egypt) and “Davy Jones” (Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest) to name a few.
