Named President of the Jury & Musical Guest of Honor on August 15- 22, 2012 in Poznan, Poland.
 
Award winning composer Mark Isham is the President of the Scoring Competition Jury and musical guest of honor at the Third Annual Transatlantyk Film and Music Festival. The festival will be held August 15- 22, 2012 in Poznan, Poland. There will be a concert held in Mark Isham’s honor featuring his music from his various film and television projects including Warrior  and Once Upon A Time. His music will also be featured during the opening concert ceremony.
 
The Third Annual Transatlantyk Film and Music Festival celebrates the arts for a week with film premieres, master classes, concerts, and culinary cinema. The festival also hosts a live scoring competition in which selected contestants from around the world perform their best work to live jury of industry head runners to compete for up to $50,000 in cash prizes.
 
Created and directed by Oscar winning composer Jan Kaczmarek (Finding Neverland), the Transatlantyk Film and Music Festival offers an opportunity to learn from entertainment professionals and witness the work of international directors and composers. Last year’s festival was host to over 36,000 viewers, 300 film screenings and 2,160 master class participants. 
 
Award winning composer Mark Isham has built a reputation as a leading Hollywood composer. His credits include Dolphin Tale, Crash (Oscar winner for Best Picture), Miracle, A River Runs Through It (Oscar nomination for Best Score), and Nell (Golden Globe nomination for Best Score).
 
He has worked with such prominent directors as Robert Redford, Paul Haggis, and Brian De Palma. Isham is also a Grammy winning musician; he received the Grammy for his self-titled album Mark Isham. He recently served as President of the International Film Music Festival in Cordoba, Spain.
 
Isham will return to score ABC’s number one new hit drama Once Upon A Time in the fall as well as score the upcoming sci-fi film Upside Down. Isham’s other accolades include an Emmy, a Clio, and ASCAP’s highest honor the Henry Mancini Career Achievement Award, in addition to multiple Grammy, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations.
