New from Quartet Records...
14-Sep-2012 - Quartet Records presents the first complete release of John Williams’ score for The Long Goodbye, a film directed by Robert Altman in 1973. Because of the many repetitions of the tune and the different sources from which the cues are drawn, this album is not presented in film order, but arranged for pleasant home listening. The package includes a 24-page full color booklet with liner notes by film music writer Randall D. Larson.

Also from Quartet Records comes the world premiere release of the long-awaited score by Henry Mancini for the western-comedy-suspense fable Sunset, about the meeting between a Hollywood star of the twenties and Wyatt Earp. The album has been assembled in dynamic stereo from the three-channel stereo master tapes courtesy of Sony Pictures. The package includes a 16-page full color booklet and liner notes by film music specialist Daniel Schweiger.
