 ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
Director Julien Temple’s free-form rock musical adaptation of Colin MacInnes’ cult-fave book about life in late-1950s London, Absolute Beginners (1986) offers music and performance by the likes of David Bowie, Sade, Ray Davies, The Style Council and Gil Evans. Focusing on the British music scene on the cusp of the 1960s, the film features a breakout performance from Patsy Kensit and a fabulously stylized visual élan.

in an unforgettable Fllm Noir Français on Blu-ray for the very first time!
  MISSISSIPPI MERMAID
Pantheon director François Truffaut’s adaptation of Cornell Woolrich’s Waltz into Darkness, Mississippi Mermaid (1969) stars the iconic Jean-Paul Belmondo as a wealthy plantation owner on Réunion Island who falls madly in love with his mail-order bride (the stunning Catherine Deneuve), despite the fact that she is not quite what she seems—and is, in fact, a lot worse. This tale of obsessive love features music by Antoine Duhamel, available on this Twilight Time release as an isolated track.

World War II suspense thriller making its long-awaited Blu-ray debut!
  THE NIGHT OF THE GENERALS
Anatole Litvak directs and Sam Spiegel produces The Night of the Generals (1967), an unusual World War II crime thriller about a Nazi investigation into the murder of a prostitute. Major Grau (Omar Sharif) finds himself focusing on three suspects: the Generals Tanz (Peter O’Toole), Kahlenberg (Donald Pleasence) and Seydlitz-Gabler (Charles Gray) – all three of whom, it seems, are also involved in a plot to kill Hitler. Also starring Tom Courtenay, Joanna Pettet and Philippe Noiret, shot by the great Henri Decaë and featuring a score by Maurice Jarre, available on this Twilight Time release as an isolated track.

Four actors at the top of their game sear the screen in a moody and menace-laced
thriller set in New York’s Hell Kitchen, now on high-definition Blu-ray!
  STATE OF GRACE
Directed by Phil Joanou and written by Dennis McIntyre, State of Grace (1990) is a neo-noir crime film inspired by the real-life Hell’s Kitchen Irish-American gang, the Westies. Sean Penn stars as Terry, returning to the neighborhood after a 10-year absence, getting involved with mad childhood friend Jackie (Gary Oldman), Jackie’s gang leader-brother (Ed Harris) and sister – Terry’s old flame – Kathleen (Robin Wright). Complicating matters: Terry’s secret mission. Featuring a stunning score by the one and only Ennio Morricone, featured on this Twilight Time release as an isolated track.

A powerful World War II saga from the book by Irwin Shaw: Three lives will cross on the battlefront and be changed forever. Invading Blu-Ray via a stunning new hi-def transfer!
 THE YOUNG LIONS
A World War II epic, The Young Lions (1958), based on the Irwin Shaw best-seller, interweaves the stories of three soldiers: an apolitical German (Marlon Brando) caught up in a conflict he doesn’t understand, a Jewish American (Montgomery Clift) forced to suffer anti-Semitism from his fellow servicemen, and a sophisticated coward (Dean Martin) forced into war against his will. Also starring Maximilian Schell (in his first Hollywood role), Hope Lange, Barbara Rush and May Britt, and featuring a sweeping score by the great Hugo Friedhofer, available on this Twilight Time release as an isolated track.
