Lalo Schifrin's The Cincinnati Kid finally released
9-Jul-2002 - Aleph Records, the label of Lalo Schifrin, has released the long-awaited CD of The Cincinnati Kid, (1965) starring Steve McQueen, Karl Malden and Ann-Margret, and directed by Norman Jewison. The music was re-recorded in Hollywood in April this year with a large orchestra, featuring a.o. Mike Lang on piano, Warren Leuning on trumpet, Peter Christlieb on tenor sax and Tommy Morgan on harmonica.
The CD also contains the original version of the main title song with Ray Charles. The liner notes are written by Doug Payne.
