The Green Berets and Scaramouche from FSM
11-Oct-2002 - In the Silver Age Classics Series, Film Score Monthly has released The Green Berets (1968), the first major Hollywood production to address the Vietnam War, starring John Wayne. Scoring The Green Berets was the legendary composer Miklos Rozsa. FSM's premiere CD features the complete score in stereo, including the recording of Barry Sadler's "Ballad of the Green Berets" made for the main and end credits.
In the Golden Age Classics Series, FSM has released Scaramouche, composed by Victor Young. Although originally recorded in stereo, Scaramouche was transferred to 1/4" mono tape in the 1960s, and only this version survives today. FSM's premiere CD features the complete chronological score in mono followed by alternate and unused cues.
