FSM's new releases
20-Feb-2003 - In the Silver Age Classics series, Film Score Monthly has released Ice Station Zebra (1968), composed by Michel Legrand. Ice Station Zebra was released on LP at the time of the film, a 30:14 program reissued on CD (now out-of-print). FSM's premiere release of the complete score runs 79:20 (including deleted cues), is resequenced into film order, and remixed from the original master elements for significantly improved sound.
In the Golden Age Classics series comes The Plymouth Adventure (1952), with an epic score by Miklós Rózsa. FSM's premiere CD release features the complete score as heard in the film plus additional material. Although originally recorded in stereo, the session masters were long ago transferred to 1/4" tape and the music is presented in the best possible monaural sound.
