Robert Wise’s The Day The Earth Stood Still will arrive on a double-sided DVD that includes an all-new transfer from a restored print and many, many extras. One of the most famous elements is the absolutely brilliant score by the legendary Bernard Herrmann. As a companion to this DVD premiere, Varèse Sarabande has released an all-new recording of this famous score. This is truly music from another world and it was all brilliantly performed and recorded in 24-bit digital sound at London’s famed Abbey Road Studios.
