Oscar for Elliot Goldenthal
24-Mar-2003 - After nominations for Interview With The Vampire (1994) and Michael Collins (1996), Elliot Goldenthal finally received a well earned Oscar for Frida. The winner in his speech: "I want to dedicate this award to the bridges that we try to build, to the people of Mexico, to the artistic tradition and legacy of personal and political art. For you, Mexico." The Oscar for best original song went to Eminem's 8 Mile.
