New from Film Score Monthly
29-May-2003 - Film Score Monthly has released in the Golden Age Classics Series, a 2 CD set with Knights Of The Round Table (1953) and The King's Thief (1955). This premiere release of both Miklos Rozsa gems features the complete underscores to Knights of the Round Table and to The King's Thief; as a bonus, alternate and source cues from both scores. Both CDs are entirely in stereo. FSM adds to its library of sci-fi soundtracks with provocative music from 1970s M.G.M films: Soylent Green (1973), for which Fred Myrow provided an imaginative, pop-based main title, futuristic-sounding source cues, and strange, atmospheric moods. On the same CD, Demon Seed (1977), FSM's premiere release that features Jerry Fielding's entire orchestral score in stereo, as well as electronic cues (some of which were not used) in mono and stereo.
