What to expect from John Barry this year?
8-Feb-2001 - Here we go. In April Eternal Echoes on Decca in the UK. The movie Enigma is scheduled to open in spring, but no soundtrack deal has been announced yet. Silva's 4CD set John Barry: The Film Music Collection, with 55 tracks and over 4 hours of music: beginning of April. The Lion in Winter/Mary, Queen of Scots, a re-recording by Silva/Play It Again and the complete re-recording of Robin and Marian, also Silva, later this year (Fall?).Out now is Mary, Queen of Scots on Artemis, that also will release The Dove. Warner Bros wil release Petulia in the spring and finally in a couple of months we can expect Ruby Cairo, re-issued on Prometheus. It seems to be a good Barry year..!
