And the winner is...
1-Mar-2004 - It's incredible. Just breathe a bit. Many thanks to the Academy. I'd like to share this Oscar with all of the amazing musicians and great vocal artists who played on this piece,' that's what Howard Shore told the world when he received two Oscars for Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. One for the score and one he shared with Fran Walsh and Annie Lennox for the song Into the West. It also was a glorious night for director Peter Jackson, who's movie is the first to win in every category in which it was nominated. Only the 1959 Ben-Hur and Titanic had won 11 trophies, but not in every nominated category. As Peter Jackson said in his speech: 'I'm so honored, touched and relieved that the Academy and members of the Academy that have supported us have seen past the trolls and the wizards the hobbits and are now recognizing fantasy this year.' Congratulations, Howard and Peter, and now back on your feet for The Hobbit...
