27-May-2004 - Aleph Records, Lalo Schifrin's own record company, surprises us with the complete score for Dirty Harry (1971). Without consciously intending it, Lalo Schifrin achieved an action score quite unlike any other, and one that would come to be defined as the quintessential work in seventies action cinema. For this CD, which represents Dirty Harry's premiere release complete, the original multi-track, multi-take session masters has been used. Spread across many tracks, with each instrument in the ensemble save the strings having its own, the precision with which this score was recorded is extraordinary.
