Elmer Bernstein 50 years of film composing
15-Feb-2001 - This year Elmer Bernstein celebrates his 50th year as a film composer. He started in 1951 with Saturday's Hero and he is still a Hero for many soundtrack collectors.
Elmer Bernstein has recently formed a new record company, Amber Records, with the first release to be the Bernstein-Eames CD featuring music for the avant-garde films of Charles and Ray Eames. This CD will be the first in the series of Limited Edition compact discs highlighting previously unreleased original scores from these films. Each recording has been meticulously transferred from the finest available sources.
