Fred Karlin's Futureworld
24-Oct-2004 - Reel Music Down Under in Australia has released Fred Karlin's sequence of Westworld, Futureworld. The album contains more than 40 minutes of previously unreleased score. Although the only available archival sources were stereo 1/4Ē analog tapes and audiocassette, Karlin and the sound engineer, Michael Stern, brilliantly improved the sound quality of all the cues and weaved them into the long, coherent tracks for a new listening experience. The 24-page color booklet features rare film stills and production design sketches from the MGM archives. The CD also features the suite from Westworld, which was created by the composer, with the original soundtrack cues. Another small bonus for keen collectors, the first 1,000 copies will have an ad strip (Obi) in the package. So donít miss out and order from Reel Music Down Under!
