Jean-Marie Senia's Dalida
27-Jun-2005 - CAM Original Soundtracks in Italy has released
the score for Dalida, director’s Joyce Bunuel’s 2005 biographic mini series on the life of the 1970s pop singer. Starring Sabrina Ferilli as Dalida, Alessandro Gassman (Luigi Tenco), Christophe Lambert (Richard Chamfray), Michel Jonasz (Bruno Coquatrix), and Charles Berling (Lucien Morisse). This is the true story of Dalida, the singer turned icon so loved by European audiences. It is also the story of Yolanda, the woman who for her entire life had one simple dream: to find love. The film tells both these stories, that is, Dalida's public and private lives, from growing up in Cairo in the 40's and 50's, through her meteoric rise to fame in France, Italy and the rest of the world, until her tragic end in 1987. The rich and elegant score is by Jean-Marie Senia.
