Graeme Revell's The Fog
25-Nov-2005 - Varèse Sarabande has released the score for the remake of John Carpenter’s classic 1980 horror film, The Fog. One hundred years ago, in a thick, eerie fog off the rocky coast of Northern California, a horrible shipwreck occurred under mysterious circumstances. Now, shrouded in darkness, the ghosts of the long-dead sailors have returned from their watery graves to exact their bloody, merciless revenge. Produced by John Carpenter himself and based on his own original screenplay, the film features a score by Graeme Revell, who sets an ominous, moody and brutal tone. A faceless, malevolent force, the fog becomes a character all its own, and allthough its danger isn't always on the screen, Revell's haunting score demonstrates an ever-present fear.
